Lewes Artwave

I will be taking part in Lewes Art Wave again this year! Please come along to venue 93 to see a selection of framed and unframed limited edition prints and drawings as well as notebooks, cards and my new screen printed ‘fishing boat’ tea towel (see below). Tea, coffee and cake will also be served.

Henry Rushbury at the Royal Academy

If you do have a chance to visit the Royal Academy to see the Summer exhibition, there’s a small exhibition of Henry Rushburys drawings, watercolours and etchings. I almost overlooked it but as soon as I walked in the Tennant Gallery, his drawings of cities and street life drew me in. Beautiful etchings and drawings! I was blown away by his draughtsmanship. I particularly like the image below entitled ‘Study for Forging a Big Gun, Sheffield, 1941.
