Whilst taking part in the Lewes Artwave, I’ve been printing my new linocut in 6 colours. The image measures 29.5 x 37cm.
Here’s a new lino print I’ve created in 7 colours.
I’ve recently completed a new print of the Old Steine, Brighton. Currently on show during the Art Wave.
During the Lewes Artwave, the St Annes gallery has an exhibition ‘From the Artist Studio’ which has a great selection of paintings, prints and drawings. Some of my screenprints and linocuts are also on display.

I’m taking part in the Lewes Artwave again this year. Enjoyed the first weekend. Lovely to meet so many visitors and demonstrate printing techniques. Feel free to visit the Pastorale Studios. There’s also tea and cake in the courtyard at the Buttercup Cafe.
It’s been an amazing couple of weeks. I knew the Olympics would be good but the whole nation’s expectations have been surpassed by the success of the brilliant team GB. I applied for tickets (as most of the nation) and managed to get volleyball and women’s football. Took my sketch book to Earls Court and did a few sketches of the USA team v Dominican Republic and Italy v S Korea volleyball semi finals. Great atmosphere! Many supporters, colourful flags and screens. Great to draw. US are going to be difficult to beat on Saturday.
Was hoping to get more tickets whilst in London but no joy so headed to Hyde Park to soak up the Olympic atmosphere. So glad we did. Beautiful day and parked in front of the large screens, watched sport and sketched the spectators.
Sat amongst dutch supporters to see the Netherlands v New Zealand women’s hockey semi. Great match and much jubilation when they won on penalties. Then dressage.
Not a sport I normally watch but completely glued to the screen and another gold for GB!
In this heat it was time for an icecream (despite the queue).
Will enjoy the final weekend and look forward to the paralympics.
I was passing the local sports ground and stopped to sketch the players in a frisbee tournament. Not an Olympic sport (yet!) but fun to watch.
